What percentage of the population has email and is aware of the notion of viruses as opposed to the percentage of the population that are bomb experts???

The whole mail-bomb analogy is ludicrous.....

The bottom line, most large companies have guidelines with respect to email as it relates to viruses and so forth. What is central to the issue is what you have control over. You have control to the extent that you can get virus protection software and that you can employ common sense as it relates to strange email.

What you don't have control over is the folks that will continually spew out virus.

In the case, the best offense is a good defense. Use virus protection. Don't open strange email.

The fact is, most folks in reality, violate stated policies with respect to email. Have folks employ common sense, and the problem will be largely solved since email is the primary way a virus spreads.

Will there be other ways to spread a virus? Sure. However, this will cut it down to a great extent...
