>>Well, we'll just have to see. The term WebForms sounds like you'd use the VB form designer and then some wizard would convert it into HTML code. But will it be browser generic or IE dependent? And Microsoft's history with converting code from one language to another to make things easier isn't exactly exemplary. Hell, VID is supposed to be tightly tied to the web and look what a mess the DTCs create. What is the VB to ASP conversion going to look like? I'm not normally a pessimist, and I truly hope I'm wrong, but I'm not going to bet any money on WebForms being that much better.

Hmmm. Sounds good! I hope it truly works as advertised. It would certainly make my life a whole lot easier.
"It is an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem. For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much -- the wheel, New York, wars and so on -- whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man -- for precisely the same reasons." - Douglas Adams
