I started out on the MAC so I know something about standard interfaces, but the interface issue must be put aside when you have a thousand users who have been using a DOS app for several years and are barely competent to operate at that level. In addition to that, upper management has trouble using a mouse. They can sell computer programs all day long by emphasizing that 'you are able to do all this by only doing 15 keystrokes', but if they have to take 2 hours to train someone on the Windows Standard with the hope that somewhere down the line that person will be able to operate someone else's software better they are going to be awfully mad at me. By the way, how do you guys handle the ENTER key in your apps? After using Windows since 3.1, I still get mad when hitting the ENTER key sends me off into never never land.
A problem is a problem only as long as it has a possible solution. Lacking that, it becomes a FACT!
