Karen, I just ran into this too. Luckily, my laptop was still working, and with the help of messages from Glenn Chesnut and Gerald Santerre and a few others I copied the correct Registry key to my desktop computer. Reinstalling VFP did NOT help.

Below is an excerpt from the message I left here earlier, with the the 0x088040154 error in my title. Search for this error, and you'll see the whole thread, including an excellent message from Gerald about the Registry

Finally, I did a Registry Export of JUST the correct registry item (It's under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, Licenses, and starts DB4C....) from my laptop, and an import onto my desktop. My OCXs are now working fine!
