>>In our application, we use msoutl32.ocx. Last week, all of a sudden, we were unable to use this control on one of our machines. We get the message :
>>
>>OLE error code 0x088040154: Class not registered. OLE object is being ignored. Record number 8.
>>
>>We have deleted all references to msoutl32.ocx from the registery and reloaded VFP 5.0. The error still occurs. Any ideas will be much appreciated. We really want to understand what is going on before our first beta release at the end of this month.

>Karen, I just ran into this too. Luckily, my laptop was still working, and with the help of messages from Glenn Chesnut and Gerald Santerre and a few others I copied the correct Registry key to my desktop computer. Reinstalling VFP did NOT help.

>Finally, I did a Registry Export of JUST the correct registry item (It's under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, Licenses, and starts DB4C....) from my laptop, and an import onto my desktop. My OCXs are now working fine!

Under some circumstances REGCLEAN 4.1 will also correct this problem. Available as download from M$. I'd have to back track for the specific URL
