I also changed these settings on the Client32. It reduced the frequency of problems by a factor of 8-10 and the problems are not as severe. Performances has degraded a little bit but it's barely noticeable.

I believe the remaining problems are related to the network buffers but I can't test anything because IT LAN systems does not want us to play with THEIR LAN (despite us being their one and only customers). They are aware of the problems but won't do anything until it becomes political (the joy of working for the state).
