I don't know if VFP 5 has a different philosophy of VFP 6 to handle the remote views. By the error you gave, please check the following:

- Is your remote at your Data Environment? If not, do you make any "USE myView" at your Init code?
- Did your view changed recently?
- Have you tried to create a new grid again?
