First of all, Thanks for all your help.
Second, either I'm not using the correct systax or something else is wrong. My valid method of the text box has 'do form formname'. The lostfocus method I put in 'formname.text1.setfocus'. When my text box executs I get the message 'object formname not found'. Is this because it has done the lostfocus before the valid method? I don't want the forms already loaded if I can avoid it. I would like to load only the form they need at that time. Any way around this??
