Actually, we don't have problem if we install our software for demo purposes in an NT environment. It's basically in an standalone environment or peer to peer. What we do now is converting our software packages into a client/server environment using ANSI SQL-based codes. This way, the problem with corruption will be minimized eventhough the backend is still VFP database because the tables will not be opened directly. All data manipulations will be done with SPT and LV/RVs. It is also one way of making it compatible with the majority of backends available in the market (No major changes).
>For your demo, cheat a little, try and make all the files readonly, then you will be safe. Or, cheat by having INDEX ON...in the demo main PRG, so you will always have fresh indexes :)
Good if all tables could still be read! No "Not a Table" thing yet...
