My current project is a re-write of a FPD2.6 DOS app. The old app makes heavy use of a "notes" (memo) field. This field is constanly being corrupted and I'd like to use an alternate method in the new VFP version.

Some of the things that used to be "notes" will be "transactions" or entries in the audit trail and so, they won't need to be entered into the notes field, however, there will still be pretty heavy traffic for that field.

I've looked at the RTF control and I have some questions, but before I settle on that approach, I'd like to hear other ideas.

Has anyone successfully resolved this problem?
