Thanks for the correction Ed. I knew it was Windows, but got sloppy writing. I've been 'bitten' by this enough times - including a recent case where one user actually uninstalled "Arial" because he "didn't like the way it looked"

Must be Friday (or pick the excuse you prefer).

>Actually, VFP doesn't get the blame here - Windows itself does the dirty work of "guess what's close to the missing font?" based on the current entries in the machine's Windows font table - if you ask for a font and miss, Windows will try to match the characteristics of the requested font using a LOGFONT structure, and the bad news is each machine has it's own table, so the miss on one machine can result in a different result on each system (or on the same system if another font gets added...)
