This is even worse.... My 10 year old daughter sent a poem into a "national" poetry contest and was judged to be a finalist in the competition. She was so thrilled and I cringed becasue, of course, there was an offer to buy a book of all the finalists poetry for $115.

When we did not order the book we never heard another word! So this in not a victim-less crime from a money or an emotional standpoint.
