>>>This idea came to me as a result of the recent release of SP4. As was posted here several times, when a new service pack is released, the best way to install a newly compiled version of the application is to create new setup disks and have that run (ostensibly by the user).
>>>
>>>The release of the SP also prompted the discussion regarding implementation of application launchers to update applications that reside locally, but can be updated from a LAN.
>>>
>>>Here's the problem...What we'd (or at least I would) really like to be able to do is use the application launcher to check for the existence of a new setup program and be able to run it without user intervention. IOW, in "quiet" mode.
>>>
>>>Unfortunately, the EXE produced by the Setup Wizard doesn't support any command line switches to do this. So that's the suggestion. Allow the EXE to support at least the /Q parameter for quiet installation.
>>>
>>>Any thoughts?

George,
<g>
Yeah, I'm an optimist. Guilty as charged... That and I own a copy of Refox.... <g> I'll ..uhhhmmmnn.. dig around this weekend a little. <g>
As for the UI stuff , if I can ..uhhmmnn.. connect into the wizard I'm sure that would be a piece of cake.
Just surmising, that is.... <g>
