IMO, the Fox team has more important things to do than add something that you can do with Win2K and Active Directory.

>This idea came to me as a result of the recent release of SP4. As was posted here several times, when a new service pack is released, the best way to install a newly compiled version of the application is to create new setup disks and have that run (ostensibly by the user).
>
>The release of the SP also prompted the discussion regarding implementation of application launchers to update applications that reside locally, but can be updated from a LAN.

>Here's the problem...What we'd (or at least I would) really like to be able to do is use the application launcher to check for the existence of a new setup program and be able to run it without user intervention. IOW, in "quiet" mode.

>Unfortunately, the EXE produced by the Setup Wizard doesn't support any command line switches to do this. So that's the suggestion. Allow the EXE to support at least the /Q parameter for quiet installation.

>Any thoughts?
