I won't use the word "maybe". This is FOR SURE a printer driver problem. (I had the same problem with all Xerox printers from customer's place and Abadi LT Condensed True Type font; but the same report work fine if printed on HP printers).

The only way is to throw away the printers :-), or to change the font, or to use a bigger width of fields in reports.
