Fortunately for me, our former network support guy (really nice and always willing to help his friends) took a promotion and now is the main Notes support programmer. In return, a few of us have upgraded ourselves from version 4.x to R5 and are reporting "features" to him.

It's amazing in Notes how easy it is to accidentally delete your whole mailbox, and the other administrators won't restore it for you.

The purchasing decision to use Notes was for groupware reasons, and nobody in the whole University uses that part fully, so it's been a waste.

>I had to install it as Lotus Notes Mail instead of Internet Mail like Cindy did. Our tight-a**es in HQ won't let use retrieve our e-mail via POP3 or send it via SMTP. So the only way it works is if I set it up this way so it uses our local Notes user ID/password file.
