Unfortunately doing this install makes no difference.
Also, the select command is super slow, i.e. on the order of a minute. There is an index on both part and serial.
I've just about given up.

>Have you tried installing the new ODBC drivers [version 2.5] from MS [MDAC_TYP.EXE]. This is just to simple a SQL for it to be failing as you say. I use the VFP ODBC to tap into a VFP DBC in a production app right now, and I never get such errors.
