Here are some numbers from some further testing.
Hardware: Pentium 2 350, 64M RAM.
Network: NT4.0 SP? (I am not the administrator)
As below: Test from Command window:
1. use blah
2. go bott
3. brow
Slow speed happens in brow
IN VFP.
Table has 96,000 records. Indexes on 6 of 12 fields.
Test 1: Nothing open.
Brow took 0:27 to fully open.
Test 2: Open DBC first.
No effect on browse time.
Test 3: Open an FWP2.6 table. 250,000 records.
Browse took 1:07!!! to fully open.
In FPW 2.6 Test 3: table open instantly.
Any ideas?
TIA,
Mike

>Sounds strange to me! I have a table with a million records, it opens in a blink of an eye. Post the exact commands, index available, how many records?
