Thank you all and especially to Ed for pointing out what should have been obvious to me. Missed the SYS(2023) because it was described as the VFP Temporary File Drive not Windows Drive and Path as one would expect.
Anyway I suspect this info would come from the Tmpfiles= in the config.fpw not from Windows. I need to be able to rearrange the config.fpw on startup in case of user alteration. Perhaps someone could tell me the function to return the Windows folder instead.
