Strange file corruption

We have a customized SBT 5.0 system installed at customer sites, and at one site in particular they periodically experience file corruption. When you go into the DBF and view the records some of them are full of strange ASCII characters and the index is totally hosed. If you move the pointer off of the record and back again sometimes the original data appears and sometimes not. The only way we've gotten around this is to copy the DBF to a new file, rename and reindex.

This doesn't always happen with the same file, and it only happens to the one customer. They have the following configuration:

HP LC3 Server
HP Raid 5 3 Drives
Novell Client 2.0.1.0
Novell Netware 5.0 Service Pack 5.0
VFP 5.0 SP3 runtime with free tables

We've been able to patch things up once they're corrupted, but it's time consuming to say the least. Any help in getting this solved would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

- Karen
