Its impossible in the page footer (by thinking on the very nature of the page footer, you can see why). You can stretch in a group footer, but not so it continues on the next page. The only way for the stretch to go over to the next page is to put it in the detail line, but you'll still have the page numbering problem (if that's an issue -- BTW, if you put the page number in the page header, it will work fine). Is there a reason it can't go in the detail line?
