>Great minds (and humor) work alike! (grin) Situations like this always remind me of a prof I had for Mechanics II in college (I was an engineering major at the time). This class was a pre-req for almost everything else and HIS class was the only one that would fit into my schedule. First day he announces that not only did he believe that women should not be engineers, he did not want them in his class. Then he looks at me (the only female) and tells me he will be more than happy to sign a drop slip.

Dorris, I had 2 professors like that. One told dirty jokes (I still remember some of the best) expecting I'd get disgusted and leave. (Women shouldn't take the place of a MAN who would have a REAL CAREER!) The other was like yours - simply refused to believe that a woman could be at the top of the class, and changed my name rather than say it correctly. I was Bob most of the year. In that case, it was made worse by the fact that I was the only high-school student in his class, 2 years younger than the other students. He also refused to send my transcript on to my college. Funny, now....

Did you finish in engineering? I was Chem. Eng.
