>Randall, why do this at all? :) Use a launcher program to run your app on workstations. Next time they start the app they automatically will get the new compiled copy of the app. There are several launchers here on Files section, one of them mine (in Files/VFP In General).

I also use a loader in combination with a timer that i create at startup and that looks every minute for the existance of a specific file. If it does and the user has only the menu on the screen then he's kicked out, otherwise he asked to leave ...
