First you are only an outsider because you see yourself that way. Second this place is considerably more gentle than most other places I frequent.

I want to thank you for your comment, not because it was esspecially insightful or anything but because it started this thread going.

The reactions that I see here to your comment don't seem so much to me as anyone telling you to shut up as they are reactions indicating the seriousness of the problem and the degree to which folks are irritated by those misusing the forwarding option. The simple presence of this thread will very likely have a positive effect on the problem. Your comment was instrumental in making this thread be what it is.

I guess you became a scarificial lamb in a sort. Some stroing reactions were posted your way, but I don't see them so much as reflecting how folks fell about you or think about you as they were reactions to what you said (that being taking an opposing view to the original comment). You brought out a number of folks who agreed with the original comment and also feel a high degree of annoyance from the misuse of the forwarding feature.

BTW, if you want to get another flame post a messge in favor of quoting the entire thread into each reply you post. For me this is at least as annoying as the forwarding issue. My basic rule is if I must press pagedown more than once to find the information that is new I move on and ignore the thread.
