>I have a predicament with using Generic Text/Only Printer driver in VFP 6.0. Trying to print to a FoxPro report or a dos output will always skip a line when it hits the page break. As a result, when trying to print labels it will incorrectly format the text on each label after the page break. This procedure worked correctly in VFP 3.0. We have to use the generic driver because it is much faster printing dos output than the regular printer driver such as Epson, etc..I have tried everything on the printer driver properties for generic but nothing seems to work (custom paper, page break,no page break, etc..) I am using ??? for dos output.
You might check the printer itself; several models of DMP had an auto skip at EOP hardware switch setting in them - the Epson LQ series and Panasonic KXP-112x both had dip switches in or on the printer that controlled this behavior, and I'd suspect that the same behavior might exist on other printer models.
You'll need the hardware manual for the printer model to find the switch settings; if you can't find yours, hope that the manufacturer is still in business and has a Web site with a copy. SOme printers had dip switch guides on the printers themselves; OkiData was usually pretty good about this.
