I'm having a problem with the Internet Transfer Control on a run-time application. It works fine on my development machine which is running VFP 6 on Win98.
Here are the steps I used to diagnose the problem:
I installed VFP 5 on the client machine and tried the following command:
loInet = Create("Inetctls.inet.1")
I got the following error: "Appropriate license for this class not found."
For one thing, I found that installing VFP 5 on the machine did not solve the problem.
I then installed VFP 6 and found that the CREATE command worked, as did my run-time application. I then uninstalled VFP 6 and found that the run-time application and the CREATE command still worked.
Can anyone tell me what the VFP 6 installation did to create the problem. While I know one way to get this to work on the client site, I don't want to go to 100 different machines and install and uninstall VFP 6 just to get this thing to work.
I checked the MSDN library and found that Microsoft recognizes this license error as a bug but has no real solution.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
