>>I think Montreal would be out of the question because the government would require that all of the signs were in predominantly French, would probably require that the session notes were available in French first and may even require that the sessions are given in French or at least that they are offered in both French and English. I don't see MS or Advisor going to this trouble for a very small percentage of the attendees and I don't think the attendees and vendors would appreciate having the additional costs passed on to them.

>Come on Mike you've got to be kidding here. When you don't know local laws well enough you should'nt try to establish probabilities. Are you telling me that it's impossible to have exclusive english classes in Montreal? Maybe the government forgot to tell that to Jim Booth, Kevin McNeish, Rod Paddock and others that came to our monthly FoxPro user's group meeting. The only language that I heard at those reunions was english.

>If you personally don't want to come to Montreal tell the real reasons. It could be that you don't want to be surrounded by a lot of french speaking persons or that you don't like the food or that you don't like the weather (if you come in the winter season). But please don't invoke laws that you don't know well enough.

Could it be that the user group meeting is a freebie and what Mike is speaking of has a cost associated with it? By the way, what is the law?
