I pay my full PUTM and have no problem running parallel processing by posting a question - reading the VFP help - searching on the UT or the KB ALL AT THE SAME TIME - this is the most efficient use of my time and gets me the answer the fastest. I have answered my own question many times before the thread has and make no apologies for that. I have also asked many questions that have "stumped the UT" apparently.

If they want to point me to a document and criticize me for "not looking first" that is their prerogative too - I'm not proud - I'll have my answer and that is all I wanted to start with. I can ignore their rant and thank them for the help as I always try to do when I receive it from anyone.

Appreciate the kind words, Ken.

I think that the whole thing was set off by a series of seemingly unrelated incidents. I think the thing that bothers me most at times is the expectations of others. It's one thing to expect someone who's answering a question to be accurate and helpful. It's quite another to judge that person negatively when they've, in all good conscience given the best help they can give. That, to me, is uncalled for.

I agree (and have done it myself) that there are times when folks "hit the wall" (with me it's usually with my head). Those times are expected. You've looked at the same doc, over and over and just can't see it. So you end up posting a question. That's understandable. However, it seems (to me) like the "walls" are sprouting like weeds lately. Maybe it's me...
George
