Geo,

Usually the guys that hit the wall post something like "please forgive me but I've spent hours..." and you really feel for them.

The guy that just wants the answer is really missing out. I've been working about 12 hours a day for a year so I could do my job AND have my "learning program." I like my books because I always stop on the way to somewhere else and learn a little extra tidbit. The folks that just want the answer probably like bothering you so they can get home earlier to watch TV.

Today I had a question, and in the process of making sure I tried everything I could think of, hit upon one more thing to try, and found the solution. I think this approach really separates "the men from the boys."

When I first began in FoxPro I shared an office with a guy (with the same job title I started at) who used to call his wife to ask questions. Now, I'm 2 promotions further along and AFAIK he is still at the same level.

>I agree (and have done it myself) that there are times when folks "hit the wall" (with me it's usually with my head). Those times are expected. You've looked at the same doc, over and over and just can't see it. So you end up posting a question. That's understandable. However, it seems (to me) like the "walls" are sprouting like weeds lately. Maybe it's me...
