In some instances I'll agree with you, Craig. In others, no. I don't think I'd be anywhere near as efficient with my coding if I hadn't gone back to college and taken the series of programming principles courses. I think, however, that the part of the problem is in following the principles blindly. Knowing when to "break the rules" can only come from good ole OTJ Tech. However, not knowing them at all, I think, is worse.
