>In hiring staff, I do go for "lettered" if only because they have demonstrated the ability to stick at something for at least 3 years, have been asked by somebody apart from me to prepare documents with at least an attempt to click the "Spelling" or "Grammar checker" buttons, and generally have a debt that makes them keen not to flit around aimlessly. This used to be something you could take for granted but isn't among the bright young things these days.
