So the empty grid doesn't even exist at design-time? It doesn't matter if it has columns or not remember.

Yep, you can COMPILE, you can also & simple commands, but you can't assign event code.

If you don't have an empty grid at design time for the control events, my only suggestion is to add it to use the solution in that thread. is there anything else about your current process you can tell us?
