I don't think it's a security issue. If you have a valid connect string to a SYSTEM DSN or a raw connect string to the provider it should work with no problem. I would ensure you don't have a data unrelated problem. Like you have other files open or the resource file locking or something to that affect.

If you're pulling from SQL Server I hope you pulle the data using ADO and not by going to VFP and then to ADO, buecae that can be very slow. As soon as you use VFP tables you have file system security issues that need to be addressed so that he Web user has rights to access the directorioes where cursors are created and so oon.
