>>Your's does NOT jump? Your first message said it did and I thought I got lucky with a duplication. The only thing we do at form load is call the grid's SetFocus() method to get the row highlight to appear. This makes the form jump. So we removed the call, and the form didn't jump on load but if you clicked in the grid, thereby giving it focus, the form jumped. That's the key to this. So long as the grid doesn't get focus everything's fine. Any suggestions?

I forgot to mention the the form's desktop property is set to .T. Can you set your's to true and see what happens? I really appreciate this. By the way, what's your video driver?

thanx again
"It is an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem. For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much -- the wheel, New York, wars and so on -- whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man -- for precisely the same reasons." - Douglas Adams
