Go to the MS Knowledge Base and search for "Choosing the Right Database Development Tool" The article compares VB, VFP, Access, and SQL Server. Just sort of sums up the pros and cons of each. But here's some insight if you want my $.02... I've never talked to anyone familiar with both who thinks VB is a better tool. I am familiar wth both, and if I had my way, I would never use VB again. HTH
