It was my understanding that we can restore to any point in time, assuming of course we have a backup log. That understanding is now challenged...

Situtation: I have a full database backup as of 11h23AM today. I also have a backup of the transaction log as of 12h00PM today. I need to restore the database as it was at 11h45AM. In the Enterprise Manager, I check the checkbox for "Point In Time" restore, and click the "..." button to select the date and time. I select 11h45AM today, but when I click OK, it reverts to 12h00PM.

Can I restore to 11h45AM? Or is this a limitation of the Enterprise Manager? Would it have worked if I issued the commands via the Query Analyser?

Thanks!
