Just a thought, but the session doesn't end when the user closes it's browser or goes to another page. It doesn't tell anything to the web server, so the session will end when the timeout expires, or if you call Session.Abandon .

Also note that a session will end after the timeout period even if the user is still on the page, but has not done anything in the specified timeout period. I think the default timeout is 20 minutes, but I'm not sure.
