Ding! Did not know that the session did not end when the browser exited. Of course it makes sense, as the browser doesn't really say goodbye to web server. The session is really an "imaginary" concept that provides continuity across a series of stateless encounters. Very good, thanks.

>Just a thought, but the session doesn't end when the user closes it's browser or goes to another page. It doesn't tell anything to the web server, so the session will end when the timeout expires, or if you call Session.Abandon .

>Also note that a session will end after the timeout period even if the user is still on the page, but has not done anything in the specified timeout period. I think the default timeout is 20 minutes, but I'm not sure.

>>Any ideas? I've dug through a dozen or so resources on MSDN, and they all seem to imply that if I put the code there it will run when the user exits the browser. But it don't!
