>>Do I need to be in an NT Domain to connect to an SQL Server? Can I have an NT Workstation client query an SQL database installed on another NT
Workstation where the Network OS is Novell Netware? The fact that SQL server speaks IPX suggests that I can.

>Yes, you can hang an MS SQL Server off your Novell network. Just make sure that you have NWLink install on the NT Server and the IPX/SPX network
library install on the SQL Server. Also, since you don't have an NT domain, you'll have to configure the the SQL Server to use SQL Auth.

How about this one: LAN machines connect using NWLink (Netware LAN), use a notebook to dial into NT that has the SQL Server (I tried to map a network drive after dial in completed and it said I was not logged in), connect to SQL Server using named pipes. Everything is beautiful. Now try to connect from LAN workstations (W95) and they cannot find the server using NWLink. Named pipes works from LAN workstations, but it is SLOW.

What happened? How do I get the SQL Server to recognize NWLink connections again?
