Most of those mentioned features are currently available in CR8. I'm not sure about the pivot capabilities. XML will be new in the .Net version.

>Based on what I'm reading, it's clear that it will be a new, yet-to-be-released version of Crystal Reports that ships in the next version of Visual Studio and not Crystal Reports 8.

>"The integration of Crystal Reports and Visual Studio enables end-users to drill down into data that is displayed on a Web page, then pivot that data to get at exactly what they want, Microsoft's Mendlen said. Furthermore, a single report can contain information that comes from a variety of data sources, according to Seagate's Lang. "

By adopting Crystal Reports 8 today, developers can seamlessly integrate web applications into Visual Studio.NET by simply converting version 8 .rpt files to Crystal Reports for Visual Studio.NET."
