The fact is, MS is stressing that VS.Net will be THE way to build n-tier and web-enabled apps. VFP is not going to be part of .Net. Therefore, by using simple logic, VFP is not considered by MS to be the optimal tool for n-tier/web enabled apps.

That is a matter of interpretation. You have changed how the word 'forward' is being used. The fact is, .Net is where MS is going. And further, VFP is not part of it..
