We do it the hard way. As we are a Novel network environment, we have NAL, or Novell Application Launher. It takes a before and after snap shot of a pc and duplicates changes on any pc that then runs it.
As we run Oracle DBs from all over the place, in different versions, this think saves our system many times. We have forced every pc in our org (1200+) to have net80 and our standard tnsnames.ora, all from doing 1 pc once.
