Perhaps Michel can post his decision making process as the opposide side of this story, but here's what I understand from the regular users of the Foxpro chat channel:
For whatever reason, it has been decided that an ever-present entity will sit lifelessly in the Foxpro chat room. It wields all the operator/admin power without the intelligence to use it, including give an operator-proxy to those known responsible regular users. Because the "ChanBot" cannot intervene on ANY issue, it effectively makes the chat room completely unmoderated.
The idea that chat users should have unilateral no-access, while there are various levels of priviledged UT members seems prejudiced. I have stopped reading UT posts because my questions are answered more thoroughly by the few regular users of UT-chat. (that, as well as the endless rantings by UT members who like to post their agressions rather than walk away like mature adults, and continual posts about the same 6 'newbie' questions)
If you're going to tie up all op functions in a dumb ChanBot and forget about it, then why not give the intelligent use of power back to the regular users?
