I'd deleted (completely) and recreate my indicies. You might find that the indexes have become 'goofed up' as a result of a computer crash or someone simply turning one off.

Before recreating the indexes you might try that command manually....

I have seen cases where, when an index was corrupted, it wouldn't show all the information.

Also, if I understand you correctly you are relying on a defined BROWSE layout that is stored in a centralized FOXUSER resource file? If so, I'd like to suggest that you create that definition in code as a part of your BROWSE command. Unless you have some very exotic stuff in this BROWSE of yours you can do almost all of that work in code. Much more stable and less prone to problems like you are currently dealing with.
