I don't know what to say.

I have only just begun my family- a daughter, 5 months old. People used to tell me you can't understand about kids till you have them. They were right. I am so sorry about your son.

Being a father has changed me. Suddenly I see that things that I thought mattered a heap, don't really matter so much. You know what? I don't think ADO really matters so much.

I suppose I risk being laughed at from some quarters, posting like this. But I would say that life is indeed precious, and it speeds away from us fast enough without our wasting time arguing with each other about things that did not exist 2 years ago and will be gone again in another 2 years.

I've got my wife with daughter and nanny (a veritable camel train!) with me this time, pardon my ignorance but I'm not sure where LA is in relation to Utah, but I fly from London to LA en route to New Zealand on 19 September, hit LA 20 September, perhaps we could catch up for a drink? Or maybe I'll stop for Devcon after all.

Regards

JR
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
