>I may be wrong, but as I understand it UCITA is not the law in the majority of the states, and it is hardly a thing that can be said about MS exclusively, as was the impression I got from your response. And as of today, it certainly can't be used as argument that MS does it all the time, given that UCITA is fairly new legistation and is still trying to get passed in other states.

I never said they do it all the time. But if a murdered doesn't kill people all the time, does that make him alright?

>FWIW, I responded to the original message because of its implication that "it runs better on Linux" as opposed to NT. The fact that it runs on Linux does not mean it doesn't run well on NT or other OS for that matter. After all the responses there was not a single shred of evidence to support it, and I didn't thought there was.

You are generalizing my statements again. I never said that just because something runs on linux it runs better. I do use the management software though, and know that it runs better on linux than NT for me. How do you suggest someone benchmark print server software?

>Don't get me wrong, if Linux is that much better than NT then I want to find out more. That's why I got my Linux box in the first place. But there is a difference between the hearsay and the facts.

You will never find out how much better it can be with the attitude you have right now. The facts are out there. They are evident everyday. Even MS itself recognizes the greatness of Linux all the while trying to hide that fact. Remember the Hotmail fiasco?

>If you get Dr.Dobb's Journal, read what Steve McConnell had to say (October issue) about comparing Linux to Windows NT, it will give you a different perspective.

Yes, I'm sure that anyone can sit down and find a way to make NT look better than linux. That's what MS is trying to do everyday. One of their points being that linux isn't certified to be ran by government operations. Did you see the latest security analysis on the gov't? They got a D-.

It's funny how you just dismissed everything that Jerry just posted in light of still believing that Bill rules. Bill is a good businessman, but that is where it stops.
