This thread seems to have been going on since forever, so excuse me if this has already been covered.
As someone who is responsible for a fairly large investment in corporate IT and is also faced with a declining VFP prgrammer pool, the thought of introducing VB into the mix has crossed my mind. The biggest stumbling block for me would not be the programming language per se but the data. We cannot change horses overnight and many of our users are still in love with their FoxBase DOS apps. To say we simply convert all our data to Access is just a non-starter.
So here's the question:
Is there in the VB world a reasonably transparent way of accessing/updating data in Fox tables?
