Hennie. Got it -- in the winm.dll there's a function called timeGetTime... returns.... you guessed it, the time. It's accurate to .001 second and can run for 7 weeks without rolling over.
I've used it for benchmarking. You won't be able to use it as you would a timer, for firing off code at an elapsed interval, but I get the feeling from your posts that that's not the purpose (am I right?).
