Have not been to Florida since my Air Force days and went through Hurricane Donna in 1961. I was at Orlando Air Force Base and the eye went through Orlando. The local radio station said winds were 20 miles an hour. I called them to notify the station and public that Orlando Air Force Base had clocked winds in excess of 120 knots. The station manager would not believe me until 20 minutes later when his antenna tower blew down and they were off the air. At that time the Hurricane Season ended on September 30th. Do you see what progress we have made? November 30th!

How I miss Florida! Not really!
