When I used this option, I saw that my field names were "cut" to have only 10 characters each. So I started with two field names "transformation" and it's plural form "transformations". Even though they were of different types (char and num respectively) they were both changed to "transforma" and I now had two fields with the same name.
My advice is this, change all your field names to fit the 10 character limit and, even though I don't recommend it, change them back to their original names once in the dbf.
Hope I've been of some use, Stephane.
